Welcome to my multi-media design portfolio! My name is Jeremy Shaw, and I love design in many of its forms. The first experience I had with digital design came when I was a freshman in high school. My dad had many of the Adobe programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects. I started off designing In Photoshop, and soon found myself learning all of them as my experience and love for designing grew. I graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Business Multimedia Technologies. I didn’t always plan on a career in this field. When I first attended college, I was enrolled in the Family Studies program to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I did this while doing design on the side as more of a hobby. Though I still love everything to do with strengthening individuals and families, I chose to leave that field after three years of study to pursue a career in digital media. Here I gained a love for User Experience Design and Front End Web Development. I love everything from creating eye catching logos in Illustrator, making awesome videos in After Effects, researching user’s needs, and designing user friendly experiences on the web to make everyone’s life easier and more productive. I hope you enjoy my portfolio as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Photography
I really enjoy photography. I bought my first DSLR camera when I took a class in college. I love taking photos of people engaged in their different enviroments as well as the beautiful scenery and animals. There is nothing like going out into nature and capturing a spectacular moment in time.
Writing
I have always enjoyed writing. There is something about being able to express your thoughts and feelings through writing, that speaking can't gather the thoughts necessary to share what one actually wants said.
Basketball
From watching games on tv, filling out bracket busted brackets, and going to the gym with a friend to shoot hoops while looking for another pick-up game, basketball has always been a big part of my life. It all started from a young age watching my brother in comp Leagues, and I have enjoyed the game ever since.
Golf
This is just one of those sports that's as irritating as it is exciting. From the many lost balls shot in the pond to to the lucky chip shots that fall in, this is just one game I can't get enough of.
